David M. Thal appointed as Education Abroad Coordinator for Kent State University

Cleveland, OH — August 10, 2012 — David M. Thal, AIA, a Senior Associate and registered architect with Weber Murphy Fox, has been recently appointed as Education Abroad Coordinator for Kent State University’s College of Architecture & Environmental Design. David has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at KSU for the past ten years, teaching several architectural studios for architecture and architectural studies majors.

David bridges the spectrum of practicing architecture and teaching architecture, allowing each to reflect and infuse the other. Coupled with his personal study and travel abroad experiences, this enhanced perspective will allow David to share his experiences and the importance of travel abroad opportunities.

In this new role, David will be recruiting undergraduate and graduate students for the Education Abroad program in Florence, Italy. The program is tailored for students in the architecture, interior design, architectural studies and urban design programs. Additionally, David will be responsible for coordinating faculty reviews, securing chaperones and maintaining open lines of communication with main campus staff, faculty and fellow students.
