Andrew McLellan joins Weber Murphy Fox’s Charlotte Office

Weber Murphy Fox, Inc., a regional architectural firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew McLellan as a Project Manager in the Charlotte office. He previously worked with Charlotte Office Manager Tom Duffy while they were both at different Charlotte-area firms.

 

Andrew attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, while also majoring in English Literature. Andrew’s design work, in conjunction with Brian Ambroziak, is currently on display at the University of Maryland’s Kibel Gallery. The exhibit, entitled Confabulatores Nocturni, has also visited the University of Tennessee and UNC-Charlotte, where the duo lectured on their work. Their sustainability paper “Resurrection of Night” was selected for presentation and publication at the 2010 National Conference on the Beginning Design Student. Chosen as one of the top papers, they also presented it at a special session of the 2011 ACSA National Conference in Montreal. Andrew and Brian’s submittal for the Pamphlet Architecture 32: Resilience Competition received an Honorable Mention from Princeton Architectural Press.

 

Andrew has taught design studio and writing intensive seminars at the University of Tennessee and UNC-Charlotte. In 2004 he was named a Burnham Prize Finalist by the Chicago Architectural Club.

 

Andrew comes to Weber Murphy Fox after five years as an Associate / Senior Designer at the Charlotte office of LS3P Associates LTD.
