Helen Tanous

Weber Murphy Fox, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Helen Tanous as an intern architect in the Erie office.  Originally from Crossville, Tennessee, Helen received her Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in 2005 and her Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in 2009. Of her recent hiring, Helen has stated, “I am excited to join the team at Weber Murphy Fox!”

During her time at the University of Cincinnati, Helen had the opportunity to study abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. There she was exposed to many of the great Nordic designers – Alvar Aalto, Arnie Jacobsen, Eliel and Eero Saarinen and has pointed to this experience as being pivotal in her development as a designer. As a student, Helen also interned with José Garcia Design and Bloomfield Schon + Partners in Cincinnati.  During that time, she worked with a small and innovative design and development team on adaptive reuse, residential, and LEED projects.  She also worked with the international architecture, interiors and strategy firm, Lehman Smith McLeish (LSM) of Washington DC, and, upon graduation, returned to the talented design team at LSM to work on a variety of projects for law firms and property managers.

Helen is currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program and pursuing registration as an architect with the National Council of Architectural Registration.

She is a LEED accredited professional.
