Designer Jin Jeong passes LEED AP Exam

Cleveland, OH — February 8, 2013 — Jin Jeong, an Interior Design with Weber Murphy Fox, has attained the LEED AP ID+C credential. The LEED AP ID+C credential provides a standard for professionals participating in the design and construction of environmentally responsible, high-performance commercial spaces and tenant improvements. The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) created this specialty credential to denote practical knowledge of the Green Interior Design + Construction LEED rating system: LEED for Commercial Interiors.

Ms. Jeong earned her Bachelor of Interior Design Degree from Mercyhurst College in 2008 and has been with WMF’s Cleveland Office since 2007.  She had previously passed the first part of this two-part exam in January 2012, which earned her LEED Green Associate status.

LEED AP accreditation is awarded through the U.S. Green Building Council; the USGBC is the national consensus for producing a new generation of buildings that deliver high performance inside and out. The USGBC is dedicated to expanding green building practices and education, and its LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System.

The LEED Rating System supports global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria. A LEED AP is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, support & encourage integrated design and streamline the LEED application and certification process.

WMF would like to congratulate Jin Jeong on her commitment and perseverance to add the LEED accreditation to the solutions and resources that WMF has to offer.
