State College, PA – February 7, 2013 — January of this year, Landscape Architect Robert Lingenfelter of Weber Murphy Fox (WMF) was appointed to the Historical Architectural Review Board (HARB) of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.  The Board is a public body created by the Borough’s Historic District Ordinance, its members are volunteers appointed by Borough Council. The Board reviews proposed new construction, demolitions, and exterior alterations to structures within the historic districts, and makes recommendations to Borough Council.

The event introduced attendees to the Federal Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program (which can generate cash for building rehabilitation), the preservation and rehabilitation technical assistance available to property owners, and the economic and heritage tourism benefits of preserving historic community assets.
