Erie, PA — December 11, 2013 — Weber Murphy Fox, Inc., a regional architectural firm, is pleased to announce that Helen Tanous has successfully completed the Architect Registration Examination and is now a Registered Architect in the state of Pennsylvania.

Originally from Crossville, Tennessee, Helen received her Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in 2005 and her Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in 2009. During her time at the University of Cincinnati, Helen had the opportunity to study abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. There she was exposed to many of the great Nordic designers – Alvar Aalto, Arnie Jacobsen, Eliel and Eero Saarinen and has pointed to this experience as being pivotal in her development as a designer. As a student, Helen also interned with José Garcia Design and Bloomfield Schon + Partners in Cincinnati.  She also worked with the international architecture, interiors and strategy firm, Lehman Smith McLeish (LSM) of Washington DC, and, upon graduation, returned to the talented design team at LSM. Helen was hired by WMF in the fall of 2012.

Helen’s current work involves being part of the design teams for both Meadville Medical Center’s Vernon Place Medical Mall project and the Scott Enterprise’s Harbor Place bayfront development project. She is a LEED accredited professional.
