Bethel Park School District

This project is being designed with a sustainable design approach, but the District has decided to forgo incurring the expense associated with documentation and processes necessary to submit the project for “official” LEED certification. This project has achieved Green Globes Level 3.

  • High performance building envelope which increases occupant building comfort, reduction in noise transmission and less building energy usage
  • White reflective roof design to reduce overall building solar heat gain
  • Energy efficient mechanical systems which utilizes ice storage process
  • Conserve water resources through metering and low flow fixtures
  • Daylight harvesting to increase indoor learning environment and reduce energy consumption
  • Recycled resources with use of high recycled content finishes and flooring materials
  • Provide a healthier indoor environment through HVAC system design and use of specified low VOC content materials
