Phase 1A occupied in Jan. 2009 and Phase 1B Aug. 2009. The cornerstone of the LEED approach was an HVAC system that utilized a closed loop geothermal well field system. The University received a $500,000 grant from the Commonwealth for this system.

This project is LEED Silver Certified. LEED performance highlights included:

  • Achieved water efficient landscaping and water use reduction
