Village of Morrison’s Cove

The Village at Morrisons Cove is a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Martinsburg, PA affiliated with the Church of the Brethren. VMC hired WMF in 2006 to develop a parcel in the heart of a development expansion of the campus to accommodate a “Village Commons” building for the community. The Development of Independent living at Morrisons Cove has been underway for several years with the site infrastructure and roadways being 60% complete.

The Village Commons project consists of a 4.9-acre parcel to create a building to house formal Event Dining and Catering kitchen with informal eating in a common open lobby, restrooms and office areas in Phase 1. Phase 2 will provide an Art’s and Crafts focus with woodcrafts, greenhouse and gardening, a library, spa and general/convenience store for residents. Phase 3 will create a fitness component with fitness room, pool, locker rooms, wellness services, a hair salon/barber shop and separate entrances for the separate functions. The site provides event parking, and event lawn for outdoor functions, an outdoor amphitheater.
