Landscape Architect

Weber Murphy Fox is seeking a creative and energetic Landscape Architect with 3+ years’ experience. This position is located in our San Antonio Office and will work integrally with all WMF locations. Qualified candidates will work on a variety of projects from conceptualization through completion. The ideal candidate must be motivated, articulate, have excellent communication skills (oral, graphic, and written) and the ability to multi-task.

Work arrangement: 40 hours per week with benefits. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $72,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, licensure, and alignment with internal equity.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working as part of a collaborative design team on all phases of a project from programming through construction administration.
  • Supporting architectural and planning efforts in site design.
  • Assisting with the planning, design and permitting of landscape architecture and land development.
  • Creating schematic design materials from 3-D renderings to plans and elevations.
  • Developing designs and overseeing production of construction documents for implementation.
  • Managing multiple project schedules, client programs and budgets.
  • Work with the business office to generate monthly project invoices.
  • Assisting with business development initiatives and firm growth.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Collaborating with team to generate RFP responses.

Qualifications Preferred

  • 3+ years’ relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or comparable field from an accredited university required.
  • Experience with Revit preferred. Familiarity with software such as Enscape and Sketchup a plus!
  • A strong desire to participate in the entire project delivery process as a member of the design and construction management team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working as part of a collaborative design team on all phases of a project from programming through construction administration.
  • Creating schematic design materials from 3-D renderings to plans and elevations.
  • Developing designs and oversight of producing construction documents for implementation.
  • Coordination and management of WMF project team and consultants’ assignments.
  • Assisting with material take offs for cost estimating.
  • Managing multiple project schedules, client programs and budgets.
  • Drafting proposal letters, and owner and consultant contracts.
  • Working with the business office to generate monthly project invoices.
  • Assisting with business development initiatives and firm growth.
  • Proactively seeking new clients and project opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Working closely with Marketing Coordinator to generate RFP responses.
  • Attending local outings and events as needed to promote WMF’s services.

Qualifications Preferred

Construction Field Superintendent

Weber Murphy Fox (WMF) is seeking an experienced Construction Field Superintendent to join our Integrated Design and Construction team in the Erie, PA market.

This role is ideal for a field leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment, working closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and trade partners to deliver complex commercial projects. Our work spans higher education, K‑12, healthcare, civic, retail, and manufacturing markets.

As the primary on‑site representative for WMF, the Field Superintendent is responsible for maintaining safe, well‑coordinated, and on‑schedule job sites while providing strong leadership, communication, and client service.

Work arrangement: Full‑time (40 hours/week). The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $85,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and alignment with internal equity.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as WMF’s primary on‑site representative, fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, inspectors, and code officials
  • Coordinate and oversee daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and building codes
  • Monitor contractor performance, quality, schedule adherence, and site safety in accordance with OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Lead weekly safety and coordination meetings with contractors and project teams
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, temporary facilities, survey crews, and third‑party inspections
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for contractors and stakeholders
  • Assist the Project Manager with change order evaluations, time‑and‑material tracking, and issue resolution
  • Issue field directives as required and help resolve on‑site conflicts
  • Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, including daily logs, progress photos, as‑built drawings, and weekly/monthly reports
  • Attend job conferences and coordination meetings throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications Preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working under established deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; willingness to learn construction‑related software and field technology
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Business Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Business Manager to lead the financial, operational, HR, and administrative functions of our firm. This role ensures financial stability, regulatory compliance, and streamlined business operations while supporting project teams and the Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast paced professional services environment and excels at balancing high-level financial oversight with hands-on operational management.

Position Overview

The Business Manager oversees all core business functions, including financial management, billing, budgeting, payroll, benefits, HR processes, recruiting, insurance and risk administration and vendor management. This role collaborates with Principals, Project Executives, external consultants, third-party administrators and accounting partners to support strategic decision making and firm performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Accounting

    • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and performance reports
    • Ensure accurate reporting of the firm’s financial position
    • Manage general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and year-end adjustments‑end adjustments
    • Maintain capital assets records
    • Support year-end closeout and tax preparation with external accountants
    • Develop and manage the annual operating budget; monitor expenses and variances
    • Monitor cash balances and prepare monthly cash flow projections
    • Oversee accounts payable, ensure timely payment of business expenses, and maintain vendor relationships
    • Prepare and file annual 1099 forms
    • Monitor cash balances, reconcile bank accounts, and manage banking relationships
    • Support loan and line-of-credit administration

    Project Accounting

    • Review monthly project expenses and ensure accurate accounting
    • Review and process consultant invoices; track consultant contracts and payments
    • Manage client invoicing, including preparation, review, and timely delivery to clients
    • Monitor outstanding invoices and support collections efforts

    Human Resources & Benefits Administration

    • Oversee third party payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance; verify pay rates, hours, and payroll related updates and adjustments
    • Administer employee benefit plans and coordinate annual open enrollment
    • Perform benefit reconciliations and compliance testing
    • Support 401(k) census reporting and regulatory filings
    • Lead recruitment activities, including drafting and posting job openings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews
    • Prepare offer letters and onboard all new hires
    • Assist with compensation updates
    • Monitor HR trends and ensure company policies are current and compliant

    General Office Administration

    • Coordinate renewals for liability, cyber, and workers’ compensation insurance
    • Maintain regulatory filings, firm registrations, and compliance reporting
    • Coordinate shareholder stock transactions, including documentation and dividend distributions
    • Serve as a firmwide Deltek Vantagepoint resource (internal ERP software), supporting project management and overall system use
    • Coordinate facilities needs and operational logistics across multiple office locations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of financial management or business operations experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP software
  • Experience in A/E/C or professional services environments preferred
  • Experience with project-based accounting preferred‑based accounting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
