The Peters Township Fire Department needed a new station to serve rapidly expanding commercial & residential growth within their service area. PTFD is a hybrid of paid and volunteer fire service with paid Fire Line Officers staffing their stations 24/7.

The PTFD-3 Station is a 2-bay drive-thru station (60-foot apparatus bays) with full support facilities to maintain 24/7 staff and volunteers that serve the District-3 fire service area. The facility includes; Office, Conference, Fitness, Kitchen/Lounge Area, Bunk Rooms (for 6), Turnout Gear Area & Clean Room that also functions as a code required Storm Shelter. Located in a residential area, the massing of the station was designed to “blend” into the neighborhood.
