CLIENT GOALS
The project goals of Phase 2 remained the same as Phase 1: re-imagining the American Ballpark. However, the strategies for implementation were altered slightly. Achieving a comprehensive fan experience by creating “districts” along the concourse was desired while establishing a connection between the fan and the playing field.
SOLUTIONS
Phase 2 implemented a home plate lounge for season ticket holders, updated the main concourse food experience, implemented new retail locations and updated suites on multiple levels. The enhanced fan experience provided open food concepts that re-connected the fan to the playing field while on the main concourse and provided food and beverage options that highlighted the local food scene. In addition, the renovations allowed the Indians to re-brand the concourses and retail locations for easier fan identification with present team player and branding efforts.
RESULTS
The ballpark updates create a comprehensive fan experience from first base all the way around the concourse. The variation in concourse amenity and seating options create a modern ballpark with options for fans of all types. Each district in the ballpark is configured to enhance site lines from the concourse to the field, creating an experience that piques the interest of site, sound and smell while navigating the park or sitting in your seat.
