PSU Glenhill Gardens
On May 7th, the NAIOP Northern Ohio Chapter honored WMF with the prestigious Placemaking Project of the Year award at the TRUSS Event Center for the Penn State Behrend Glenhill Gardens Greenspace. This recognition celebrates WMF’s thoughtful and multi-faceted approach to transforming underutilized public spaces into meaningful environments that enhance connection, community, and well-being.
Originally the site of a 1930s-era campus pool, Glenhill Gardens now serves as a dynamic outdoor gathering space that preserves the historical significance of the Pennsylvania State University Behrend campus while meeting the evolving needs of students and visitors. Through careful planning, design sensitivity, and a strong sense of place, WMF created a greenspace that bridges past and present, encouraging greater engagement with the natural and built environment.
The annual NAIOP Awards of Excellence event honors outstanding achievements in commercial real estate across Northern Ohio, recognizing exceptional projects, developments, transactions, and individual contributions.
