In 2019, Montessori Regional Charter School partnered with WMF to develop a comprehensive master plan for its newly acquired 17-acre campus in Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania. Formerly the home of Villa Maria Academy, the campus presented a unique opportunity to reimagine existing facilities and grounds to support Montessori education while creating meaningful connections between learning, exploration, and community engagement.

Working closely with school leadership, faculty, and stakeholders, WMF evaluated existing operations, educational needs, and long-term aspirations to create a flexible vision for the campus. The master plan addressed critical infrastructure and circulation improvements while embracing the Montessori philosophy through opportunities for outdoor learning, nature-based exploration, and creative play. Designed as a living document, the plan continues to guide ongoing campus improvements, adapting to evolving needs, available funding, and future growth.

The result is a strategic framework that transforms the campus into a vibrant educational environment where students can learn, discover, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
