CLIENT GOALS

CSU wanted to advance the profile of the University Honors Program, by establishing the Mandel Honors College. The transition from a Program to a College forms an institutional structure for the honors program and improves it’s standing in the academic environment.  The objective was to raise that stature and status of CSU within the academy.

SOLUTIONS

The design solution created a visible and inviting Honors College Administrative Suite, including group study and quiet study spaces. It also incorporates a large and energetic student lounge, two classrooms and a conference room.  The use of storefront window systems delivers an impactful and vibrant insight to the College’s offices and amenities.

RESULTS

CSU created the Mandel Honors College in 2014 after receiving a $3.6 million grant from the Mandel Foundation. More than 500 students have graduated from the program.
