CLIENT GOALS

Truck-Lite, an innovative manufacturer and supplier of lighting and LED technology for commercial vehicles, is moving its headquarters to Penn State Behrend's Knowledge Park to have better access to engineering and technology talent. The University will invest in enhancements to its Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Center, which will contain Truck-Lite’s laboratory and test space. The space will house approximately 90 employees, including engineering, planning, product testing, finance, marketing, and customer service staff.

SOLUTIONS

The project includes construction of two research laboratories: a 1,745 SF product-modeling lab and a 4,075 SF photometric testing facility, which will be used to study the light emitted by LEDs, lamps and other devices. Interior renovations to the third-floor office spaces will include new flooring, finishes and lighting for private/open offices, meeting rooms, cafeteria, lobby and open seating areas.

RESULTS

The project was completed in 2022.
